Hipsta first opened its doors in 2005, born from a love of travel, craftsmanship, and individuality. What started as a small market stall has grown into a celebration of culture, creativity, and conscious living, with stores across Aotearoa that all share the same soul: eco-friendly fashion, fair trade values, and a sense of freedom.

Our Wellington store marks 20 years of Hipsta, and it’s our most creative space yet, designed to inspire, energise, and connect people in the heart of the city.

Professional Piercing Studio

Our fully licensed piercing studio is at the core of every Hipsta store, and Wellington is no exception. Led by experienced, professional piercers, the studio offers a wide range of piercings in a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment. We use only high-quality jewellery and follow the highest safety standards, ensuring every client leaves feeling confident and cared for.

The Inner City Sanctuary

Tucked within Hipsta Wellington is our Inner City Sanctuary, a calm, creative space designed for connection and wellbeing. This inviting area is available to hire for yoga, meditation, tarot readings, sound healing, creative workshops, and other soul-nourishing gatherings.

It’s a place to pause, reset, and reconnect — a sanctuary in the heart of Wellington’s bustle.
